Since the transformation of the Ryde Park café into The Grounds Keeper Café in July 2013, Ryde locals have been thrilled to enjoy their favourite park, while indulging in house-made savoury treats, decadent delights and renown coffee blend Gabriel.
Owner Sam Hayek is focussed on giving locals what he believes they deserve: “Ryde residents should have a place where they can enjoy quality food and coffee in a relaxed and beautiful environment. The café is perfect for families, friends, big group breakfasts or romantic lunches.”

As Sam sees it, he’s taking the best of the inner west’s famed café culture and bringing it northwest, where the location is just as inviting at the food. “We wanted to blend in to this incredible location, with both undercover and outdoor seating. At The Grounds Keeper, you can really just relax and indulge in the moment.”Inside a building of exposed timber beams, beside a softly ebbing fountain and all of nature’s bounty, it’s easy to get distracted; however, quality food and coffee remain central to the café’s core. “We prepare almost everything here, onsite—and with our open kitchen, there’s no hiding.
